TRUSTEE (FINANCE SPECIALIST) – COLLABORATIVE LEARNING TRUST, OTLEY

We’re looking for a finance expert to join our Board.

As a Trustee you’ll join our Board and also sit on our Audit, Risk and Finance Committee, helping make decisions that benefit our 7 schools and their 3,400+ pupils.

You’ll be asked to attend 6 Trust Board and 5 committee meetings per year and invited to events organised by the Trust and our schools. Meetings take place in Otley or at one of our Leeds/Bradford schools.

Demand is high, and we currently have a waiting list of children eager to get involved in Menston Scouting. To provide opportunities for more young people, we need passionate volunteers to join as leaders.

MARIE CURIE COMPANION VOLUNTEERS

Throughout West Yorkshire & Craven The Companion Service supports people in West Yorkshire & Craven who have a terminal illness or life limiting condition. Would you be able to spare up to 3 hours per week supporting with companionship such as accompanying to appointments, making a meal with the client and/or listening and having a chat over a cup of tea. VOLUNTEERS FOR SOCIAL/SIGNPOSTING GROUPS FOR OLDER PEOPLE – ILKLEY GOOD NEIGHBOURS, ILKLEY

Volunteers needed for our Moving On Friendship Groups (social/signposting groups for older people). We have 2 groups on Thursday and Fridays and need volunteers at both between 1-3pm. Volunteering is on a rota to suit your availability.

Volunteers will help attendees feel welcome and relaxed, help with tea and coffee orders and help tidy up at the end of the session. You may also help at our excursions.

MENOPAUSE PEER SUPPORT GROUPS VOLUNTEERS – WHARFEDALE, AIREDALE AND CRAVEN ALLIANCE

We are looking for volunteers to assist with Menopause Peer Support Groups in Ilkley and Skipton. The Groups will meet once a month in the evening for a couple of hours.

Would you like to support Ilkley’s new Library of Things (& coming soon repair café), where you can borrow a variety of Things from £0.37 – £3/ day? Would you like to help us run the library, sort donations, catalogue stock, or help with social media? Or help with repairs? Or organise/ run workshops or repair cafes? Everyone welcome. Are you a parent or grandparent able to give 2 hours per week to support a family with children under 5 in their homes? SHOP ASSIST AND BEFRIENDING SCHEMES

Could you spend an hour or two every week helping an older person? The ShopAssist and Befriending schemes (part of Ilkley and District Good Neighbours) need more volunteers and will pay expenses. Our schemes enable older people to remain independent for longer and give volunteers the opportunity to meet new people, build rewarding friendships and give something back to the local community. ILKLEY COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

Would you like to help your local community and join the friendly team at Ilkley Community Transport? We are a registered charity based in Ilkley and are always looking for CAR DRIVERS to provide lifts primarily to medical appointments for residents in the Ilkley and Addingham area who find public transport difficult to access due to age, illness or disability. Volunteers use their own cars and claim expenses for fuel at a pre-agreed rate. Drivers must be over 21, and have held a full licence for at least 2 years.
