Nothing perks up the winter months like booking a holiday abroad.
After all, what better way is there to beat the winter blues than by jetting off into the sun? If you’re thinking of heading off to Benidorm for some relaxtion, there’s something you need to know though.
Harry, known as Harry Tokky on TikTok, said there’s something “very important” tourists need to know if they’re travelling to the popular Spanish resort. Last week he said it was super hot in Benidorm, and it looks like it could just be a “scorching” season.
In a candid clip, he said: “If you’ve not worked out where I am, I’m at the pharmacy and we’re going to do our weather update. It’s pretty much five o’clock here in Benidorm and today it’s been gorgeous.
“As you can see, I’m wearing a t-shirt and definitely shorts weather. So, if you’re coming out to Benidorm, make sure to pack t-shirts and shorts, because you are going to need them, and defintiely some sun cream as well.”
It’s so warm, he admitted he’s surprised he didn’t burn his nose while filming, as he claimed it “doesn’t feel like January” at the moment. The temperature measured an impressive 27°C, which shows just how hot it’s been lately.
The video has been viewed hundreds of times since it was shared, and several people were quick to comment too. Many admitted they can’t wait to jet off on their travels.
One person said: “I’m coming over in May. Just can’t wait.” Another replied: “Keep it like that for February 7!”
Meanwhile, a third also commented: “First week of March, hurry up!”
Generally, Benidorm is considered to be “quite cool” in January. Visitors are typically advised to take warmer clothes, especially for during the evenings. The average daily maximum temperature usually comes in at 17°C, while the average daily minimum is 7°C.
At the moment, highs of around 21°C are expected, according to the weather forecast, but temperatures are thought to dip as the week goes on. Highs of around 16°C are predicted for the rest of the week, but may fall lower on some days.
February is also considered a nice time to visit the resort as the weather is still quite mild, with plenty of sunshine. It’s also much quieter than during the peak summer months.
Evenings can be chillier though, so bear that in mind when you’re packing. You may need something a little warmer to venture out at night.
