Princess Kate was spotted shopping solo in London on Tuesday evening,- with royal fans taking to social media to share their delight.
The Princess of Wales, 43, looked chic as she visited the Finlay and Co optician’s in Notting Hill, just less than a one-hour drive away from her Windsor cottage.
In pictures taken by a US photo agency, Kate looked radiant in a new belted coat by Max & Co in midnight blue (£550). The royal has previously favoured the designer when choosing her coats.
The future Queen also appeared to wear Sezane’s Martin trousers in mottled grey (£130) and a pair of boots.
To keep warm, the royal donned a check scarf around her neck, while she also sported a new handbag, the mini Lytton Ludlow crossbody bag by Smythson in dark taupe (£850).
She also sported her beloved Lauren pave diamond leaf drop earrings by Kiki McDonough (£2,300).
It is believed the future Queen was browsing glasses in the store as she was seen chatting to members of staff.
She was then snapped leaving the store alone. Kensington Palace has been contacted for comment on the princess’s outing.
Since photographs of the princess shopping were shared online this week, royal fans have flocked to praise her.
One wrote: “Great to see her out and about just doing everyday things.”
Another said: “Lovely to see her enjoying some time out on her own. It does a world of good.”
A third said: “Effortlessly chic. A fashion icon even without trying.”
Her husband Prince William, 42, and their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, are not believed to have accompanied her on the trip.
The sighting of the princess comes after she was seen carrying out her first royal engagement of the year earlier this month by visiting The Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, London.
The princess received cancer treatment there last year, which ended in October, and returned to thank staff for the good work that they do. The future Queen also spent time talking to patients undergoing chemotherapy.
She is set to continue her gradual return to work this year as she continues to recover.
