Liverpool play host to Lille in the Champions League this evening, but the game will not be broadcast on Sky Sports or TNT – however, there is a way that fans can tune in without buying a ticket
Liverpool will look to progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League when they host Lille this evening.
Arne Slot’s Reds are in flying form in the European competition, sitting three points clear at the top of the table thanks to wins over Milan, Bologna, Leipzig, Leverkusen, Real Madrid and Girona. And with just two fixtures left to play in this evening’s clash with Lille and next Wednesday’s (January 29) fixture against PSV, the Premier League giants will hope to secure their spot in the knockout rounds of the competition.
However, LOSC will prove no easy feat for Liverpool when the two sides meet at 8pm this evening, with the French side also hoping to progress to the round of 16 – currently sat in eighth with a point sitting between automatic progression and a play-off place.
With an action-packed evening of football ahead, many football fans will hope to tune in to watch from home. However, the game is not being broadcast via Sky Sports or TNT Sports. Luckily, there’s still a way for fans to watch for free, though.

How to watch Liverpool vs Lille
Liverpool vs Lille kicks off at Anfield at 8pm this evening, with a jam-packed Kop expected to be in attendance to cheer the Reds on as they continue their Champions League journey. And while the game isn’t being shown on Sky Sports or TNT Sports, fans can watch along via Amazon Prime Video.
Both new and existing members of the subscription service will be able to watch via the Prime Video mobile application on their mobile devices, Fire TV stick or set-top box at no extra cost on top of their monthly package. It comes as part of a deal between Amazon and UEFA which allows UK Prime members to tune in to 17 exclusive Champions League games across the 2024/25 edition of the competition.
Those who don’t already have a subscription are able to start a 30-day free trial of Prime (which renews at £8.99 per month or £95 per year), or the Prime Video service which costs £5.99 per month. The deal between Amazon and UEFA will run through until the semi-final stages of the tournament.
Form and the story so far
Liverpool have excelled in the Champions League this season thus far, blitzing through any competition with relative ease. The side have won all six of its games leading up to its clash with Lille and heads to Anfield this evening off the back of a 2-0 Premier League win over Brentford.
Their last Champions League game came in the form of a 1-0 win over Girona back in December, Mohamed Salah converting a penalty to clinch three points for the Reds. Lille, on the other hand, have had a largely successful Champions League campaign leading up to their clash with Liverpool.
Sitting in eighth place at present, there are just five points between them and Liverpool at the top of the table – and they will hope to bridge the gap going into their final league-stage fixture against Feyenoord next week. With four wins, one draw and one loss, Lille head into this evening’s clash with Liverpool on the back of a 2-1 win over Nice in Ligue 1.
Their last Champions League fixture back in December ended in a 3-2 win over SK Sturm Graz, with Osame Sahraoui, Mitchel Bakker, and Hakon Arnar Haraldsson finding the back of the net for LOSC during that fixture.
